Creative direction, art direction, and design for branding, seasonal promotions, outbound marketing, and customer experience.

Collaborated with various internal stakeholders to create strategic and engaging design as well as regularly present work to multiple leaders within the company.

In partnership with marketing stakeholders, I lead the creative team to evolve and modernize all outbound marketing including email, push notifications, and SMS. 

In partnership with merchandising and marketing stakeholders, I lead the creative team to develop promotions that are inviting and consistent to Zulily’s core customers.

Starbucks Coffee Company, Global Creative Studio – Seattle, WA - 13 Years

Creative management, art direction, and design for branding, promotions, merchandise, social media, and packaging.

Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to create strategic and innovative design as well as presenting work to multiple leaders within and outside of the company.

Lead teams of up to 6 designers on both short-term and long-term projects while ensuring that all projects are on brand, adhere to strategy, and meet deadlines.

While managing design of the Starbucks card business in 2013, the global program topped $4B, shattering the previous record. It was also the largest single-year expansion of global Card & Loyalty programs in the company’s history.

Managed the design of two of the most successful chill cup launches in Japan. In 2012, Frappuccino had the highest first day sales in recent Japan RTD history and over 20,000 Likes on Facebook in less than 24 hours. In 2015, Sakura Lattè revitalized business and increased shelf share by 50%. Amazing feat in a highly competitive category ($15B).

Led team to redesign Starbucks packaged food in 2015 which embodied the brand while giving more product visibility to the customer. The result was an average of 20% sales increase despite higher prices on many items.

 

Nail Communications – Providence, RI - 2 Years

Art direction and design of projects from start to finish including presentation of work to clients

Directed designers for print, packaging, and web projects

Clients included King Arthur Flour, Gordini, Polartec, Saucony, Berkshire Blanket, Corra Consulting, Clarendon Group, Johnson and Wales University, Macgregor, Struever Brothers

 

Arnold Worldwide – Boston, MA - 4 Years

Art direction and design of projects from start to finish including presentation of work to clients

Art direction of large-scale photo shoots and extensive press checks

Clients included Royal Caribbean International, Citizens Bank, Silk, Boys and Girls Clubs of Boston, and Boston Children's Hospital

 

Holland Mark – Boston, MA - 2 Years

Responsibilities included ideation and execution of design and advertising concepts

Presented work to clients and attended press checks 

Clients included Hannaford’s Homeruns, New England Aquarium and Polaroid
